When and Where to Use Repair and Restoration

Cracked Concrete
Concrete cracks over time, but being proactive and taking care of the issues when they emerge can prevent the cracks from worsening and will save you money over the life of the floor.

Pop-Outs or Divots
Concrete pop-outs or divots often occur when something is dropped onto the concrete. Pop-outs can expand over time into larger holes if not fixed so it’s important to address them sooner rather than later.

Spalling
Spalling concrete often occurs as a result of a weakened slab. Spalling starts out as a cosmetic problem, but if not dealt with in a timely manner, structural damage can occur.

Surface Preparation and Coating Removal
Surface preparation is critical to ensure a long term successful floor, especially before applying a new flooring system. Surface preparation includes removing any existing floor coverings including: epoxy mortar, resinous coatings, VCT, tile, carpet, mastic, and other glue remnants.

Joint Filling
Control and expansion joints should be filled on exposed concrete surfaces. Epoxy or polyurea fillers are used to protect the exposed joint edges from impact and spalling by allowing load transfer across the joint. Joint fillers also provide maintenance and aesthetics benefits by creating a sealed uniform surface free of open voids. See more about our joint filling solutions.
